Job Summary

Ministry of Urban Development seeking an Heritage Advisor for Ghazni, prvicnes

Duties & Responsibilities

• To advise the Ministry leading board concerning safeguarding of urban heritage areas and cities.
• To give advice and organize all staffs who are working with the office for the safeguarding of urban heritage cities.
• To help the groups for preparation and follow up the office work plans.
• To support the colleagues to carry on all issues regarding the approved plans.
• To give an opinion concerning suggestion of projects with urban development sector’s priority concerning heritage building and projects.
• To look for the donors through the continues link and connections with clearance of His-Excellency minister (MoUD).
• To provide better relations amongst the ministry and other sectorial ministries and organizations.
• To create practicable suggestions for improvement of different issues with in the ministry.
• To provide proficient advice to the leading board of ministry in particular concerning the historical buildings and other related fields.
• To provide technical reports and statements for government conferences, international workshops and technical seminars.
• To provide project documents, proposals and other concept papers for all developed projects.
• To go on with activities according to the competency and responsibilities.
• To organize, manage and cooperate the colleagues.
• To support the rehabilitation and renovation programs for the historical cities in Afghanistan according to the approved plans.
• To provide better relations amongst the local authorities, private sectors and other related foundations.
• To participate actively concerning public awareness improvement and to encourage the community members for protection of country’s heritage and historical areas.
• To encourage community participations regarding the planning and implementation of projects with in the historical and cultural areas.
• To guide and manage all technical and administrative activities concerning office for the safeguarding of urban heritage cities and other related organizations.
• To coordinate, cooperate and support work activities with the urban sector, cultural and heritage organizations, national and International organizations throughout the MoUD.
• To participate actively with the Old City Commission and other related commissions all over Afghanistan.
• To participate actively in advisory board, inside and outside of the ministry.
• To keep close linkage with all related departments within the MoUD.
• To manage and control the staffs regarding the implementation of work plans on time.
• To participate in ghazni high commission (Ghazni as a capital of Islamic Culture in 2013) and to take action strongly regarding the planning and other related issues for Ghazni province.
• To be confident concerning the organization belongings.

Job Requirements

• To have Bachelor certificate (BSc.) or higher degree.
• To have min ten years experiences with national and international organizations.
• To have at least three years experiences concerning the heritage projects and programs.
• To speak, read and write clear and fluent in Dari, Pashto and English.
• To be able with computer knowledge (Office package, AutoCAD and Internet)
• To have ability of consultation and coordination with community members and related organizations.
