About Afghanistan Centre at Kabul University:
The Afghanistan Centre at Kabul University (ACKU) is the premier library and research center in Afghanistan. ACKU was established in 1989 in Peshawar, Pakistan, as the ACBAR Resource and Information Centre (ARIC). Currently ACKU has over 90,000 books and manuscripts in Dari, Pashtu, English and other languages. ACKU is working to make as much of its collection available online as possible, through a digital repository linked to its online catalog. ACKU also runs an outreach program called ACKU Box Library Extension (ABLE) that provides libraries in a box to rural communities and high schools throughout the country. ABLE is the pioneer of box libraries in Afghanistan, aiming to enhance and encourage reading among people of all ages and abilities.
Under the overall direction of the Admin/Finance Manager, HR and Payroll Officer shall be responsible for overall activities of Human Resource Department and shall undertake the following responsibilities;
Duties & Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Monthly preparation and processing of payroll based on HR data and records
Staff contracts: Dealing with all issues of staff contracts like renewal and termination of contract
Personnell Files: preparation of personnel files for all staff and making sure that they are complete according to the HR policy of ACKU.
Time-sheet and Attendance sheet: Preparation and maintaining the time sheets and attendance sheets of all staff of ACKU.
Overtime: Staff overtime estimation request and calculation.
Staff Recruitment, Interviews and Orientation to new staff: arrange complete orientation to new staff of ACKU.
Preparation and extension of Visas and work permits for all expatriations.
Preparation letter for submitting ACKU activities reports to Ministry of Economic and Kabul University.
In according the request of ACKU staff-written letter for the necessary matter.
Providing entry Cards for vehicles of ACKU staff.
BBA, HR concentration is preferred
Advance knowledge of Human Resources
Ability to work in a professional setting; establish priorities and to plan and coordinate project activities with others.
Ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with better interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English and local languages is a must with better written and verbal communications.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organization.
