Afghanistan Youth TV is designed to provide a platform for positive and constructive discussion of issues concerning youth in Afghanistan. It is a space that will connect those who do not have a voice in traditional media with experienced professionals, allowing for active and direct youth engagement with society through media. Afghanistan Youth TV aims to promote critical and independent thinking, positive change, dynamic leadership, and active involvement in the development of Afghanistan. We stand for unity, tolerance, and progress. We are committed to being a trusted provider of information and analysis on the issues faced by youth in Afghanistan. We are looking for a skilled HR manager to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of TV strategy and objectives.
Ø Manage the recruitment and selection process for new staff
Ø Recruit for and develop a functioning HR team
Ø Review and update HR policies and procedures
Ø Ensuring issues related to human resources are resolved in a timely and effective manner
Ø Advise on, monitor, and present HR policies.
Ø Update organizational HR policies and procedures in line with employment law and best practice
Ø Provide leadership and direction for the implementation of remuneration programs and policies; provide oversight for analysis and recommendations for benefits and compensation related budget initiatives.
Ø Develop and monitor Equal Opportunities & Diversity
Ø Provide strategic advice on HR and facility management matters.
Ø Provide training, capacity building and guidance to human resources staff
Ø Ensures consistent application and execution of TV’s policies in hiring, termination, Disciplinary & Grievance
Ø Advise on terms and conditions of employment
Ø Manage, develop and support HR staff through a performance-based line-management system, dealing effectively with any performance issues.
Ø Delegation of roles, tasks and duties in order to achieve the objectives of the HR department
Ø Manage staff by guiding, coaching, instructing and motivating
Ø Develop staff within and outside the HR team
Ø Create and maintain staff folders and HR Database, ensuring compliance with data protection
Ø Manage annual leave system and other staff leave
Ø Manage performance management processes
Solid experience of HR management, with demonstrable knowledge and hands-on experience of best practice, policies and procedures.
Prior experience in implementation of remuneration programs and policies
Previous experience of line management, and a strong understanding of the principles of good performance management, appraisal and development
Acute attention to detail
Good interpersonal communication skills
Able to work well in groups or teams
