The HR Manager will report to Head of HR Department. The responsibilities of HR Manager are vast and may fall within many different categories. These can include payroll, hiring staff, staff development and training, compensation and benefits, establishing policies and procedures and ensuring laws, rules and regulations are enforced.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Specific Job Functions:
â€¢ Develops implements and evaluates the Bankâ€™s policies and procedures on recruitment, testing, selection, and job placement
â€¢ Plans and directs activities of staff in carrying out such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, conducting screening interviews, administering, checking references and background, evaluating applicant qualifications, and arranging for initial orientation and training of newly hired employees
â€¢ Preparing Monthly payroll of 90 Branches with Head Office
â€¢ Keeping records and prepares statistical records concerning recruitment, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations
â€¢ Analyzes statistical reports and other data using knowledge of job requirements, valid selection processes, and legislation concerning equal employment practices, in order to identify and determine caused of problems or inefficiencies in the employment function
â€¢ Makes recommendations to management for improvement of Bankâ€™s employment policies, procedures and practices
â€¢ Makes staff contracts and job descriptions
â€¢ Places advertisements for vacant job positions
â€¢ Covers overall vacancy advertisements of the bank
â€¢ Manages, assesses and reviews all training needs and training programs
â€¢ HR managers also maintain employee benefit programs, keep employee records, establish and implement policies and procedures and ensure legal compliance.
â€¢ Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, counseling, pay and conditions, contracts, training and development, succession planning, moral and motivation, culture and attitude development.
â€¢ Support HR Head to coordinate and manage appraisal model, including support and advise to line managers to conduct performance appraisals, filing and managing performance appraisal outputs, provide advice on recommendations on rewards, disciplinary actions. Collecting the appraisal forms and updating the database.
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of HR development
Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievement within agreed formats and timescales
Manage and develop direct reporting staff.
Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
Liaise with other functional / departmental head so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements.
Maintain awareness and knowledge of latest HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to Head of HRD, managers and staff within the Bank.
Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in co-operation with the executive team.
Ensure activities meet with and integrate with Bank requirement for quality management, health and safety, legal requirement, environmental policies and general duty of care.
Audit and authenticate all documents related to legal, salary statements and distribution, policies etc.
Develop and Maintain healthy relation with Govt. and Non Govt.
Assist Head of HRD to Plan for employeeâ€™s performance appraisal; develop tools for appraisal, job evaluation and development.
Plan and direct for Trainingï¶ of employee including senior managers, maintain contact with outside resources for training.
A bachelorâ€™s degree and at least five years of experience. To have knowledge of compensation, training and employee relations; employee rights, benefits and obligations; equal employment opportunity practices; employee policies and procedures, payroll and interviewing techniques.
