Support HRD Department in recruitment, interview and selection.
• Sets goals, plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and evaluates the activities of the BMC recruitment/retention program.
• Processes, executes and prepares employment contracts and employment contract end notices.
• Functions as an administrative resource for the Human Resources Department within the BMC for retention issues.
• Develop, maintains new personal files for new recruited staff and maintain for the current staff as well as administration filling system
• Coordinates annual planning for and participation in BMC recruitment events; coordinates job fairs and open house events.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures relevant to the recruitment of management, technical and support services personnel; develops retention strategies.
• Conducts focused recruitment for management, technical and support services personnel within the BMC.
• Communicates with other BMC operating departments and component activities within the greater BMC structure to identify recruitment needs.
• Develops, maintains, analyzes, and disseminates management statistics, reports and information related to the recruitment of BMC management, technical and support services personnel.
• Receives and reviews job requisitions for vacant positions; reviews and screens applications; conducts initial applicant interviews and schedules interviews with requesting activity supervisor; verifies application data and curriculum vitae information; checks references.
• Assists in the selection, training and supervision of recruitment staff.
• Act as a focal point for Performance Management and provide support to all departments.
• 1 to 2 years of progressively responsible HR experience is required in private sector, with on-the-Job Training in Employee Recruitment, Selection, and Retention.
• Six months of on-the-job experience in Employee Recruitment, Selection, Retention will be considered equivalent to one year of formal training (One and a Half years of experience is proof of sufficiency for the position)
• High School graduate with specialized certification in HR, (Diploma from a recognized Institution will be preferred.)
• Ability to use of Media application in the recruitment process.
• Budgetary functions.
• Knowledge and ability to apply computer applications to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Fluency in English, Dari and/or Pashto in speech, writing and comprehension.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
