The Huquq Team Leader will oversee all tasks aimed to improve the Huquq Department’s capacity to provide professional training, case management, and interactions to ensure quality justice services and improved collaboration between the formal and informal justice sectors. The Huquq Team Leader will supervise the Huquq component’s staff.
Requires travel to provinces:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise Huquq components.
Provide technical knowledge to management and Huquq team members.
Implement department work in consultation with DCOP.
Prepare draft annual work plan in consultation with expat consultants and senior management of the project.
Oversee the implementation of appropriate capacity building and training to support MOJ Huquq department local staff and to formalize the recruitment standard and comprehensive and enhance case tracking system and ensure the availability of case.
Establish excellent working relationships and strategic engagement with a wide range of senior figures within ADALAT project and MOJ.
Provide regular reports, summarize progress, achievements and identifying gaps and challenges covering all activities concerning communications with affected counterpart.
Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly report.
Oversee the implementation of training for MOJ Huquq local employees.
Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by COP/DCOP.
Travel to the provinces based on requirement.
Report to DCOP.
Job Location:Afghanistan, Kabul
Required bachelor of law and preferred master degree in the related field.
5 years of progressively responsible experience.
Outstanding leadership/management, strategic planning and program coordination skills.
Proven leadership and team building skills, especially in dynamic, multicultural environments.
Demonstrated commitment to mentor, enable and empower staff.
Solid analytical capabilities and excellent presentation skills.
Solid computer skills in Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Strong written and spoken English required.
Fluency in Dari and/or Pashtu languages.
Ability to work collegially within a high-performing team.
