PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The USAID Office of Transition Initiative (OTI) funded Community Cohesion Initiative (CCI) is one of three principal stabilization programs in the USAID/Afghanistan Stabilization Unit. Through CCI, USAID OTI seeks to improve stability in areas vulnerable to insurgent exploitation in order to create an enabling environment for sustainable peace and traditional development programs by (1) strengthening ties between and among local actors, customary governance structures, and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) and (2) empowering community-based resiliencies to mitigate sources of instability.

Job Summary:

CREATIVE seeks an Afghan national to fill the role of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Assistant. The role will require an active and dynamic woman to work in a fast paced working environment and will require the incumbent to be able to meet the needs of the program. The position will be based in Kabul.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the overall supervision of the ICT Manager the ICT Helpdesk will assist with the provision of IT services to ASGP offices, as follows:

• Provide basic technical ICT support to the project staff;
• Support users in backing up and restoring their files, as well as in virus detection, removal and prevention;
• Update computer inventory to reflect new IT equipment and redeployment of existing IT equipment
• Respond to user needs and questions regarding IT problem.
• Participate and assist in organizing ICT trainings for the staff. Coach ASGP staff on computer and software methodologies to facilitate their work.
• Observe and learn ICT from the support from the ICT Manager.
• Any other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirement:

• High school graduation
• 2 years of relevant working experience, including, but not limited to, network administration, support and management of software such as Ms Word, Excel, Power point and Ms Access,
• Knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications;
• Fluency in English and Dari or Pashto;
• Excellent inter-personal and general communication skills.
• Ability to provide basic IT support services ;
• Ability to support clients with a Help Desk or User Support Unit
