-To support & maintain a 24 hour Emergency critical care service in the hospitals and to facilitate good quality of services to critically ill patients for reducing of mortality incidence.
Responsibilities:
Ensure proper provision of intensive care services for the patients and in the areas outlined above according to service need.
To provide and to assist with the delivery of care to patients with critical illness
To support continuity of elective & emergency services during period of Specialist of leave.
To support the emergency and critical care services out of-hours through participation in duty outside normal hours.
To undertake professional development activities, audit and engage in performance appraisal.
The post-holder will be encouraged and supported to develop specialist areas of practice in line with service requirements
The post-holder will be responsible to Lead Clinician in Critical Care.
The post-holder will be expected to manage adult patients.
The post-holder is responsible to attend and perform official duty and prohibited to undertake private clinical duties during official time.
ICU in charge is responsible for training of current and newly hiring staff.
Develop treatment protocols for ICU cases.
Develop procedure protocols take place in the ICU.
Manage all administrative activities.
Attend relevant meeting as required.
Provide weekly, monthly and yearly reports to ICU Project Coordinator as required
Any other duties assigned by supervisor as required.

Subordinates: ICU doctor , ICU nurses and Support staff
Qualifications & Requirement:
1. MD degree from recognized university
2. Medical Post graduate doctor; degree from a recognized Degree institute must be attested by MoPH or MoHE ; (trainer is preferable)
3. Must be Specialist in Internal Medicine, General surgery or Anesthesia; (Anesthetist and Internal Medicine is preferable)
4. At least 1 years post specialization experience in the curative medical field.
5. Having Administrative and Technical skills.
6. Excellent knowledge of English Language (written and spoken)
7. Good Team player
8. Strong Communication Skills
9. Good Computer skill (MS Office)
10. Ability to use internet/ search websites.
11. Skill for Drafting and developing of Treatment Guidelines
12. Ability to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks
