Job Summary:

The title of Information Officer is most commonly used in a governmental setting but also in non-governmental setting. Though these professionals may also be referred to as public relations specialists. Information officers have a variety of job duties, but written & verbal communication is the basis for all they do. They liaise between their employer and the public, may also be responsible for mass communication, answering queries, telephones and emails and they may arrange official meetings with both governmental & non-governmental sectors and executives. Information officer is often to provide information to students, officials and overall to the public as required by law and according to the standards of their profession. They often acquire, organize and distribute information both in printed and non-printed form. They perform a multitude of duties to provide information services internally to the organization, externally to the public or to both.
The role varies greatly depending on the sector, size of the employer and levels of responsibility. Most work involves both written and oral communication, word processing and typing, and requires relevant skills such as organizational and administrative, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Duties & Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities are as following but are not limited to:

Use a variety of software packages including MS. Word, MS. Excel & PowerPoint to manage data and produce documents.

To promote most positive publicity for Karwan University.

Develops, implements, and maintains an effective public information program and coordinate.

Taking follow ups and email communication if required.

Liaise with staff in other departments and external contacts

Generating various reports as and when required.

Obtains client information by answering telephone calls; email enquiries, using an email system, interviewing clients; verifying information.

Determines eligibility by comparing client information to requirements.

Establishes policies by entering client information; confirming pricing.

Informs clients by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing information.

Maintains communication equipment by reporting problems.

Maintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommending improved procedures.

Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, team works, management and leadership

Capable of working independently with minimum of resources

Collaborating and coordinating skill with other staffs and partners

Job Requirement:

 Bachelor degree in Business, Management, Communication, Public Administration, Marketing or relevant field.
 At least have 1 - 2 years practical experience in related field.
 Pashto, Dari and English languages fluency.
 The applicant must have the pre-planning skills and capabilities. Proactivity is key of success in this job.
