Equity Capital Mining (ECM) LLC. is a precious gems and marble extraction company headquartered in Dubai, UAE and with offices in Afghanistan and United States of America. The owners of the company are two gemmologists named Mr. Adam Doost and Mr. Nasim Doost who have 35 years experience in the field of mining and extraction. ECM was incorporated in Afghanistan as a limited partnership company in January 2006 and started its commercial operations in February 2007. The Company acquired 10 years renewable exclusive mining right from the Government of Afghanistan to mine the White Dove marble quarry located in the town of Chesth-i-Sharif (Heart province).

Job Summary:

IT technical support officers should monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of ECM. May require to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. May require to span one or more areas of expertise.

ECM increasingly rely on computer systems in all areas of their operations and decision making processes. Failure of mission-critical IT systems can lead to a complete inability of the organisation to deliver its services.

To summarize the position, the applicant is require to perform aa help desk operator, technician, maintenance engineer or applications support specialist. The work is as much about understanding how information systems are used as applying technical knowledge related to computer hardware or software.

Duties & Responsibilities:

In essence, technical support officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Tasks varies, but may include:
-to design and maintian a database server.
-to update company website regularly.
-Assistance in development and implementation of policies and procedures of Information Technology and Information Systems;
-installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
-monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
-talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone;
-troubleshooting system, network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
-replacing parts as required;
-Regular backing up the organizational data
-Regular updating of antivirus.
-providing support, including procedural documentation;
-following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
-supporting the roll-out of new applications;
-setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
-responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
-working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
-prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
-rapidly establishing a good working relationship with technical suppliers and other professionals (e.g., software developers);
-testing and evaluating new technology;
-conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Job Requirement:

-Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology and/or relevant diploma's.
-Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
