About OHSA

Organization of Humanitarian Services for Afghans (OHSA) is a national non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and humanitarian organization established in 2022 and registered with No. 5352 dated 20 April 2022 at the Department of NGOs in the Ministry of Economy the Islamic emirates of Afghanistan. Although the organization is newly established but it is professionally managed by a group of committed, energetic, and professional Afghans with a rich experience in governmental and non-governmental organization inside and outside of Afghanistan. The primary focus of OHSA is on the grass root level, on the problems of the poor considering the primary areas of concern; education, food security and livelihood with building their capacity in different areas. 

Job Summary

The internship programme of OHSA exposes qualified applicants specialized in various professional fields to the day-to-day working environment of the OHSA. As part of our team, working directly with outstanding career professionals and senior management, applicants will take part in high-profile conferences and meetings, and contribute to analytical work as well as organizational policy of the OHSA where their educational experience can be enhanced.

The objective of the internship is to provide substantive, organizational and logistical assistance to the staff/experts in OHSA Office in Kabul. In this process, the intern will gain knowledge of the substantive and operational aspects of OHSA’s work.

After three-month assignment, the intern will gain knowledge on the local situation of project management, admin /finance, HR, information technology and M&E related issues in the country. In addition, this internship will help the intern understand OHSA the grass root level, on the problems of the poor considering the primary areas of concern; education, food security and livelihood with building their capacity in different areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the overall guidance of the OHSA Office in Kabul, and directly reporting to the respective unit Officer, specific assignments might by assigned in the day of recruitment

Job Requirements

Education:

•       Currently enrolled in a graduate degree programme of a recognized institution in related fields (Global Governance, Political and Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Economics, Law, International Affairs or other related field). Exceptions can be made for applicants 12^th grade ,university degree or equivalent or higher education would be plus point.

Skills:

•       Strong interest in working in the OHSA system;

•       Demonstrable skills in analytical thinking, communication and research;

•       Good IT competence, command of main office software programmes, internet communication, social media and searching skills;

•       Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure within an international setting;

•       Ability to perform a variety of administrative tasks;

•       Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and a strong team working capacity.
