About OHSA

Organization of Humanitarian Services for Afghans (OHSA) is a national non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and humanitarian organization established in 2022 and registered with No. 5352 dated 20 April 2022 at the Department of NGOs in the Ministry of Economy the Islamic emirates of Afghanistan. Although the organization is newly established but it is professionally managed by a group of committed, energetic, and professional Afghans with a rich experience in governmental and non-governmental organization inside and outside of Afghanistan. The primary focus of OHSA is on the grass root level, on the problems of the poor considering the primary areas of concern; education, food security and livelihood with building their capacity in different areas.

Job Summary

Cook will work in OHSA Main office and will provide daily lunch, dinner and regular tea service

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain a clean/sanitary kitchen.

2.   Prepare weekly meal plan

3.   Order kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.

4.   Purchase food and tea items.

5.   Store all food properly

6.   Maintain inventory records of food/tea items, and submit regular expenditure            reports to relevant administration Manager

7.   prepare and serve daily lunch, and tea for staff and visitors. 

8.   Clean the lunch room(s) daily

9.   Alert administration manager in a timely manner if there are any unplanned shortages.

10.   Any other tasks assigned by supervisor. 

Additional job responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience

Job Requirements

1.    Some; literate to keep track of payments and expenditures.
2.    Experience in the relevant field (5 years).
3.    Good communication skills.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

1.    Ability to cook well
2.    Basic understanding of good nutrition
3.    Organizational / multi-tasking skills
4.   Good understanding of hygiene
