About FINCA Afghanistan:
â€¢ To determine whether organizational units in the FINCA Afghanistan are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or control activities in compliance with management instructions, applicable statements of policy and procedures, and in a manner consistent with both organizational objectives and high standards of administrative practice.
â€¢ To plan and execute field audits in accordance with accepted standards.
â€¢ To report field audit findings and to make recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations, and reducing cost.
â€¢ To perform special reviews at the request of management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the general guidance of the Internal Audit Manager, the Internal Auditor is expected to:
â€¢ Prepare a field audit program on top of every month.
â€¢ Determines the auditing procedures to be used.
â€¢ Performs the audit in a professional manner and in accordance with the approved audit program.
â€¢ Visit clients and attend village bank meetings to reduce the risk of having false clients and to ensure that FINCA policies are being complied with.
â€¢ Notifies the Audit Manager of any control system weakness or breakdown.
â€¢ Prepares formal written reports, expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out.
â€¢ Appraise the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions.
The Field Auditor will also be administratively accountable to the Afghanistan Country Director.
â€¢ At least one year of professional accounting or auditing experience.
â€¢ Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business management
â€¢ Fluency in Dari and English.
â€¢ Good communication skills
â€¢ Experience with use of computers and familiar with Microsoft Office programs
â€¢ Accuracy, attention to detail, commitment to transparency.
â€¢ Ability to learn quickly, strong self-training readiness.
