Job Summary:

Intern is responsible to assist Hydro Geologist and Senior Hydro Geologist in all activities

Duties & Responsibilities:

Should has knowledge and skills regarding geology, hydrology, hydro geology, Geo engineering and geophysics

Assist hydro geologist in supervision of well drilling and well construction activities

Assist hydro geologist for analyzing of well drilling strata sample for proper well design and select screen slot

Should be assist hydro geologist and field Engineers during well development by air compressor and pumping test equipment and tools

Assist hydro geologist whenever conducting well aquifer test and measure field data

Measure and record of field parameters like salinity, pH, ORP, temperature and DO from the features (river, springs, dug well and drilled well)

Record GPS location/geo-references (digital latitude, longitude and elevation) of features

Take water samples for chemical and isotopic analysis.

Assist hydro geologist whenever conducting geophysical investigation regarding measurement of field data

Any other task and responsibility shall be assigned by the supervisor.

In specific, the interns will;

Develop their skills and know-how by participating actively in the learning process by performing daily tasks under close supervision of the respective officer.

Attend and actively take part in the capacity building and training programs designed by HR Department for internship programme.

Actively take part in weekly coaching sessions with assigned coaches and ensure to make use and get support of coaches at all times for own personal development.

Present evaluation presentation after 3 and 6 months.

Facilities: Transportation Allowance, free lunch during office hours, two days paid leave per month, a stipend of USD 93 per month (THE STIPEND WOULD BE PAID IN AFN ACCORDING TO THE ACTUAL EXCHANGE RATE), capacity building and training,.

Fresh University Graduated (Bachelor in degree in Geology).
Experience: Not Required.
Other qualifications’ an advantage:

To know the use of computer (MS-Office Package)
Oral and written fluency in(English, Dari, Pashto)
