Investment Officer reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, this position has overall responsibility for origination, due diligence, monitoring, and collections of SEAF-AGF investments. The position allows the successful candidate to be part of the vital asset-generation team and play a major role in the companyâ€™s continued development and expansion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Prepare credit applications and supporting loan documentation â€“ Credit Origination fulfillment and credit appraisals in liaison with Credit Department, whilst maintaining client profitability and risk management.
â€¢ Analyze financial information, such as statements, management accounts and cash flow statements;
â€¢ Develop models of financial information to assess viability of investments and project growth; work on presentations for AGFâ€™s global investment committee;
â€¢ Advise and recommend changes to credit policies and procedures;
â€¢ Liaise with other staff within the company, such as marketing officers and monitoring and evaluation officers;
â€¢ Stay informed about the legal, compliance and market-risk-related issues involved in the approval of credit.
â€¢ Provide a contact point for the customer to support relationship building and marketing.
â€¢ Monitor all loan facilities in the portfolio against set parameters/ conditions.
â€¢ Add value to clients through the identification of cross-selling opportunities.
â€¢ Identify and evaluate potential customersâ€™ financial and service needs.
â€¢ Identify opportunities for new product development and present proposals to the Chief Credit Officer.
â€¢ Participate as needed in SEAFâ€™s monthly portfolio management committee calls.
â€¢ Plan and manage regional trips and client site visits.
â€¢ Participate and help organize seminars, meetings, and roundtables sponsored by AGF.
â€¢ B.A. or similar degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Economics from a recognized university.
â€¢ Minimum two years working experience in banking or credit position.
â€¢ Professional qualification in financial management and accounts.
â€¢ Financial statements preparation and analysis skills.
â€¢ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
â€¢ Possess good presentation and organizational skills.
â€¢ Strong written and oral communication skills in Dari/Pashtu and English
â€¢ Understanding of Afghanistanâ€™s economy, key sectors, and private sector.
â€¢ Ability to travel to all regions of the country
