Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) began as an agency that provided licenses to companies wishing to invest in Afghanistan. AISA has now evolved into a pro-active institution on promoting and attracting investment to Afghanistan. AISA, having its main office in Kabul and regional offices in Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-e-sharif, Khost, Kunduz and Nangarhar province, delivers a wide range of services to investors all over the country.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Investment Verification Officer, under the direct supervision of Investors Support Director, will be responsible for a wide range of activities related to the needs of AISA, which include observing and monitoring the investment climate, and investment development and overall investment in Afghanistan.
The Investment Verification Officer will conduct on going monitoring of investments in Afghanistan and prepare a data bank of updated information. He/She will have to share the updated information with AISA’s concerned departments on regular basis. The main activities of Investment Verification Officer includes but not limited to:
ï‚§ Collecting information according to the requirement of AISA and required by the research and policy department.
ï‚§ Conducting interviews with investors inside and out side Kabul and filling out the questionnaires prepared by the RPD as required through different means
ï‚§ Maintaining close working contact relationship with the company representatives
ï‚§ Collecting information about the problems that investor faces and report them to the research and Policy department and Investment support for further analysis and recommendation
ï‚§ Helping in the systematic entry of the data
ï‚§ Creating a database of the inspections studies and researches done
ï‚§ Assist the Supervisor in setting the goals of the group
ï‚§ Assist the staff around the office as necessary
ï‚§ Any other duties assigned by the relevant superiors
• BA in Economics
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the relevant field with an international organization
• Be willing to travel to field inside Kabul
• Complete familiarity with Ms Office programs
• Strong organizational skill
• Ability to organize tasks.
• Be flexible in taking on more responsibilities and accepting any kind of assignment
• Be reliable, honest and able to work under pressure
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Be proactive and able to face bigger challenges
• Must have excellent knowledge written and spoken English as well as local languages (Dari and/or Pashto)
