Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to maintain and solve day to day IT problems and help IT Coordinator in ensuring that the Information Technology (IT) System in the country program is functioning smoothly and efficiently in compliance with ActionAid Afghanistan IT strategy/policy as well as ActionAid International standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Advise users and induct new users to follow Actionaid Afghanistan IT polices and guidelines
•Help the users to understand IT policy and gathering their feedback on the policy
•Coordinate various IT training programs for Actionaid Afghanistan staff
•Keep a log of users complaints and support/solution provided
•Provide technical support for the use of Actionaid Afghanistan corporate software such SUN, NK Intranet, etc including installation, configuration, back up
•Perform all IT related procurements and maintain purchase registers for hardware and software procurements
•Maintain IT inventory and update inventory list and keep track of all projects IT equipments
•Assisting the IT Coordinator in the planning, designing, documentation, and implementation of various systems, desktops PC’s, service, network equipment, and software application
•Monitors and maintains the use of software and hardware system as well as install and configure hardware equipments e.g. printers, scanners, desktop computers and copiers
•Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for all server backups
•Perform on site and remote technical support
•Regular visit to provincial and field offices as required
•Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resource
•Any other related duties assign by the line manager

Job Requirement:

•High School Graduate is must and Bachelor degree in IT is an advantage, MCSE and CCNA with Exchange Server 2003
•At least two years experiences working in IT field
•Knowledge of hardware and is able to solve simple hardware problems
•Knowledge of applications software
•Good interpersonal skill
•Gender sensitive
•Good language skill in both English and Local languages
•Be able to work independently as well as in a team
•Willingness to travel to other provinces
