Job Summary

The candidate is responsible to assist IT department in their day to day work. She will get on job training in related field, and will mostly learn things by doing and reading manuals.

Duties & Responsibilities


Assist in maintaining all of the IT and communication equipment and where necessary, install new IT and communications equipment.

Install, support and Maintain the following in all relevant offices
 Standalone and networked Computers, Printers
 Software like MS Windows 7/10 and MS Office, MS Dynamics and install any hardware when needed

Assist in supporting all necessary security and virus protection Software for standalone and networked IT equipment

Support cross-platform system integration and data exchange (e.g., PC data links, Thuraya – PC data links, satellite Phone – PC data links, - PC data links etc).

Maintain an up to date inventory of all IT and communication equipment in conjunction with relevant department

Assist in supporting and maintaining all power systems installed in the head office and in all the regions for the IT and communications equipment

Liaise with all the ISPs (internet service providers) for all office where there is internet connection and communicate to ISP any problems that arise.

Maintain all IST assets in good working conditions.

Preparing monthly internship report each month

Preparing final internship report at the end of internship


Other Responsibilities:

Job Requirements

Essential: High school graduated.
Desirable: know English and Computer Science graduate

Work Experience:

Though no prior work experience is required, having any IT work experience will be preferred.

Other terms and conditions:

Compliance with Afghanaid rules and regulations

Avoiding unnecessary absence from office

Inform in case if the intern make any absence

Misused and damage to Afghanaid property strictly prohibited

Office time will be 8:00 to 4:00 in the winter 7:30 to 4:30 in the summer

Compliance will Afghanaid code of conduct

Taking benefit from Afghanaid working facilities in proper manner

During this period, if she is absent for more than 2 days without notice her internship contract will be cancelled
