IT Manager will be responsible for keeping office and site project computers and wired/wireless networks in a good function and manner and responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining of IT systems and updating of software and hardware as necessary and directed by supervisor.
Perform and provide IT; LAN, Internet, Emails, Hardware and Software troubleshooting and services for office in order for smooth running all needed IT operations.
Site project IT troubleshooting when required.
In conjunction with the organization’s IT support vendor, oversees and supports all devices on the organization’s network, including: Servers, Desktop workstations, Switches, firewalls, network attached storage, external storage and other appliances as needed.
Configures and manages Users, Groups and Permissions
Configures and supports mailboxes and accounts, and Microsoft Exchange configurations
Moves, adds and changes server and client device software and hardware
Implements and manages backup systems and strategies including recovery processes
Works with executive staff to document and update documentation for all technical systems.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting technology requirements; assists with preparation of an annual budget; schedules expenditures; analyzes variances in budget versus actual expenses; initiates corrective action.
Identifies needs for staff training.
Develops and delivers training sessions with staff as needed.
Completes assigned agency wide roll outs and upgrades. Schedules time with employee to collect old equipment, reconfigure and replace with new equipment.
Provides support for all help desk tickets. Resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues. Research and test possible solutions and implements solution.
Monitors help desk ticket queue; documents problem resolution, and works to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer to other technician.
Installs standard software on laptops, desktops and Installs hardware devices including ergonomic or wireless keyboards, monitors and printers.
Manage IT staff/support vendors and develop daily/weekly plan of project execution and support needs
Manages the inventory of workstations, printers, copiers, routers, telephones, software and
Devices.
Responsible for all processes and procedures associated with the IT equipment inventory.
Setup LCD projectors, loaner laptops, and network connections for presentations.
Educates staff on appropriate use of hardware and software.
Trains staff on the use of VPN, remote access, Microsoft Office suite programs, etc.
Provides after hours support, usually by phone. Travels back to office during late or weekend hours as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field
M.Sc Degree in Information Technology is highly
