Counter Narcotics Justices Centre (CNJC), Multi Location
The IT Officer will work as a member of the CJTF Administration under the direct supervision of the Director of Administration.
The IT Officer is responsible for the oversight and smooth running of the IT systems at CJTF. You will provide technical assistance to the Administration Director and CJTF staff as required.
•To install and maintain appropriate IT systems as required for the effective running of the CJTF.
•To carry out regular maintenance of IT equipment to keep them functioning at a high level.
•To ensure that all systems run optimally including printers, scanners, photocopiers, UPSs and other IT related devices.
•Regular visits to all offices to ensure that all computers are working, Solve all computers, printers, IP Phones, internet and other IT related problems of the staff members.
•Prepare and distribute updated computer software manual, virus risk news and other computer related information to concern users.
•Develop and implement a weekly plan for updating antivirus protection and for inspecting the PCs of all users which are not in the network.
•Manage different OS installation including Windows 7, Vista, XP, MAC OS etc.
•Update operating systems and packages.
•Installing and updating antivirus protection.
•Creating users, giving rights to users and resetting passwords.
•Outlook configuration and related problem’s solutions.
•Manage the acquisitions, installation and maintenance of the organization’s local area network (LAN).
•Ensure that all users of all departments are configured in the network and the server functions properly.
•Manage network operations including troubleshooting connectivity problems, installing and maintaining routers, report operational status, perform backups and restore data.
•Define and establish backup practices and mechanisms to ensure the security and stability of CJTF data assets.
•Provide technical support and training to CJTF staff if required.
•Designing network map, implementing and testing of network.
•Cabling, ducting, punching of patch panel and IO.
•To ensure that internet for all concern users are functioning properly.
•Prepare monthly maintenance and report to his/her line manager.
•Provide administrative services for administration directorate.
•Any other task as directed by the supervisor/administration directorate.
Education: Holding degree in BCS (Bachelor of Computer science) and Diploma in Information Technology is required; having certificates of MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator) and MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) and other IT related degrees are preferable.
Experience: Two years of progressively responsible experience in Information technology, computer hardware maintenance and software installation is required.
Language: The successful applicant will be fluent in spoken and written Dari, Pashto and English.
Skills and abilities: Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to communicate well in professional working environment and must be able to organize his/ her daily tasks properly.
