The IT Officer manages and oversees the IT equipments and its set up within the Project Office. He/she might have several tasks ongoing at one and the same time so being versatile, able to prioritise, and plan the work is important.
He/ She will insure that IT equipments are well maintained and used on efficient and effective manner. To train the staff in proper use and care of all equipment and their functions is an important role of IT Officer. To assist the Office Administrator in administrative works, he/ she must ensure good relations with other staff in all units/ sections. IT Officer will try to implement all the approved IT rules prescribed by SCA.
IT Officer reports to Office Administrator and is given technical backstopping by the IT unit at Kabul Management Office

Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ To evaluate, Design, Develop, Implement, Maintain, Upgrade, and Troubleshoot of the IT setup and systems including but not limited to computer network (s) and relevant equipments and peripherals, sever (s), personal computers, printers, multimedia projectors satellite phones (Thuraya), VHF and UHF radio, email accounts and services, internet equipments and connections, websites, and services software, applications, UPS/S systems, other related equipments and services
â€¢ To install, supervise, maintain, and troubleshoot the current and new network equipments such as network cables, switches, hubs, routers, access points servers printers, users and computers
â€¢ To develop good cooperation with SCA units, authorities, institutions and other NGOs.
â€¢ Promote and attitude of team spirit and a strong focus on quality
â€¢ Assist the Office Administrator in the Admin/ Service activities
â€¢ Keep undated with issues related to SCA and the environment where SCA operates.
â€¢ Minimum pass of grade 12 + one year diploma in the field of IT and/ or computer sciences from a credible college or university (a bachelor degree in IT or computer sciences is preferred).
â€¢ CCNA, MCP and/ or MCSE certified (must have taken the complete course/s and hold the accredited certificates/s at the time of application).
â€¢ At least 2-3 years of professional work experience in the field of IT and/or ICT with a credible national or international organizations, or UN agencies
â€¢ Fluency in Pashto, Dari and English, written and spoken
â€¢ Strong interpersonal communication skill
â€¢ To be ready to travel to projects sites or sub-Offices
â€¢ Being an Afghan national
