Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Responsible for overseeing and maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen appliances.

â€¢ Analyze, troubleshoot, install, rebuild, adjust and replace kitchen appliance equipment.
â€¢ Performs major and/or minor repair, as well preventative and corrective maintenance of kitchen Equipment.
â€¢ Order and maintain inventory of appliance parts as needed.
â€¢ Inspect and verify the operation and safety of commercial kitchen appliances.
â€¢ Responsible for coordination and prioritizing repair tasks to respond in a timely manner and
â€¢ Provide timely repairs and reduced downtime.
â€¢ Responsible for attending new equipment training, training staff and demonstrating proper safe
â€¢ Use and operation of equipment to staff. Identify and correct unsafe conditions and practices.
â€¢ Identify, document and notify supervisors of damage, abuse and negligent use of equipment.
â€¢ Track work orders and communicate status to appropriate personnel.
â€¢ Commission new kitchens and equipment installation.
â€¢ Assist in management of warrantees.
â€¢ Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent. or
â€¢ At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
â€¢ Advanced troubleshooting and repair of commercial kitchen systems is required.
â€¢ Knowledge of equipment used in the district kitchens, i.e. hoods, ice machines, dish machines, gas and electric Steamers, ranges, convection ovens, hot cabinets etc.
â€¢ Ability to demonstrate how to use equipments.
â€¢ Knowledge to operate district kitchen equipment.
â€¢ Read and understand Health Department regulations.
â€¢ Ability to prioritize task train and instruct.
â€¢ Advanced mechanical skills and ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and O/M manuals.
â€¢ Knowledge of commercial refrigeration, preferred.
â€¢ Knowledge of 220 volt, AC circuit and advanced troubleshooting skills preferred at hire.
â€¢ Critical thinking and problem solving skills
â€¢ Appliance technician needs to have the ability to repair Inoskan electrical kitchen appliances
