Job Summary:
The Lawyer and Legal Adviser will be responsible to advise State Corps’ Management on a variety of legal issues in energy, transport, water and construction sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide legal analysis and advice on issues related to contracting, project management in energy, transport, water and construction sectors.
Provide legal scrutiny of the decisions, opinions, recommendations, framework,guidelines or internal documents to be adopted or endorsed by State Corps.
Provide legal analysis and advice to the management and staff on the applicable rules, regulations and procedures within the company.
Prepare replies to legal interpretation requests and legal analysis and advice inside the Agency;
Prepare and provide legal scrutiny of contracts and other agreements to be signed by the company;
Writing legal documents
Defending or prosecuting cases in court
Typical employers of government law
Review documents for compliance with the law
Researching and understanding tax law
Meeting clients to gather information and explain options to them
Liaising with MOF and Customs on clients' behalf
Undertake collaborative work with other advisers and Ministry colleagues on a variety of projects
Checking and completing tax forms
Review and/or prepare work papers and tax returns supporting Afghanistan investments.
Responsible for preparing calculations of tax attributes related to distributions to mutual fund shareholders.
Analyzing portfolio holdings and applying tax rules to these holdings.
Communicating with local tax authorities to resolve issues as well as assisting in the development of tax training materials and guiding departmental training.
Any other tasks that shall be assigned by State Corps management.
