Job Summary
This 5-year position will work with a team of experts on the development of rural and agricultural finance products that meet the needs of rural Afghan farmers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Regional assessment of lending needs and constraints amongst farmers and intermediary lenders, such as farm input supply stores
Development of loan products which are tailored to specific needs of regional farmers
Travel to the field will be required
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 5+ years experience working on development initiatives focused on financial services
• Experience with agricultural lending
• Familiarity with Islamic lending practices accepted in rural areas of Afghanistan
• Strong command of the English language is necessary
• Previous experience with USAID is preferred
