• • Provide assistance in conducting agricultural needs assessments amongst rural farming communities, agricultural groups and cooperatives.
• Provide assistance to senior program management in disseminating program information amongst program beneficiaries.
• Provide assistance to senior program management in coordinating meetings, seminars and workshops as directed.
• Provide assistance to senior program management, in order to achieve project goals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Other related responsibilities as assigned by senior program management.

• Degree in Agriculture (Horticulture Degrees preferred). Business and finance degree holders are also encouraged to apply, as long as they have an agricultural degree.
• Native Dari speaker, with the ability to translate English to Dari and vice versa in both written and oral versions at a professional level. Pashtun is asset, but almost all work will be done in Dari speaking areas and/or with Dari documents, so that speaking and writing Dari at a high level of proficiency is necessary for this work.
• English: Speaking, reading and writing with a high degree of fluency is needed for the written reporting requirements of this position, as well as communicating with the international donor organizations.
• Experience working with agricultural organizations, such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) and/ or international donor organizations.
• Business and/or Financial Analysis is an asset, since the program should be working with loan and credit repayment programs for farm cooperatives and/or Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Micro-Financial loans with ties to agricultural cooperatives and/or farmers associations.
• Experience working with agricultural cooperatives and foreign donors is an asset.
Minimum Skill Sets Desired
• Strong Communication skills are required, both on an individual ( person-person) basis and on a group level basis.
• Past teaching experience will be preferred.
• Translation skills in preparing reports and documents in English and Dari.
• Diplomatic communication and negotiation skills are an asset.
