Job Summary

The Local Cook must perform all duties related to the preparation of meals for Local staff and Expatriate staff. Maintaining a high level of hygiene in the kitchen and in food preparation is of utmost importance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Kitchen Assignments
• Daily preparing food for the local nationals.
• Daily preparing of Afghani Food.
• Daily preparing grocery/supplies list for the kitchen
• Daily buying supplies for the kitchen
• Supervising and training the subordinates
Cleaning to be conducted
• Cleaning the kitchen at least three times a day
• Empting the garbage bins at least three times a day
• Cleaning and disinfecting the working tables at least three times a day
• Cleaning the kitchen equipment, dishes and cutlery after each use
• Cleaning the stove and oven from inside and outside after each use
• Cleaning the microwave and grill from inside and outside
• Cleaning and disinfecting the drawers, cupboards and shelves

Job Requirements

• Graduate from 12th Grade
• Able to Speak in local Languages ,English is optional
• 2-4 years of related work experience
• Must have initiative and work largely unsupervised
• Cook vegetarian and meat-based meals
• Understands and the importance of hygiene in food preparation
