The Skills Training for Afghan Youth (STAY Positive) project works to mobilize and strengthen at-risk youth to contribute to the economic development and security of Afghanistan. To achieve its goal of engaging and preparing youth for their roles in the world of work, society and family life, STAY Positive provides education and workforce development opportunities for out-of-school youth, builds the capacity of existing vocational education centers, enhances gender awareness and participation and helps strengthen the capacity of Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan ministries to better support youth programs. First year program activities will be carried out in Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Kandahar.

Job Summary:

Resopnsble for all logistics activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide logistical support for STAY personnel including arranging ground transportation, booking air travel, hotel accommodations and visa coordination.
• Liaise with Security Manager and private security company (PSC) on travel related issues.
• Assist with managing project vehicles and drivers.
• Oversee and manage STAY drivers.
• Preparing and organizing internal order, forms, request and letters.
• Maintain interface with vendors and service representatives to ensure that materials and requirements meet established standards and that applicable USAID and EDC/ STAY policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed.
• Actively participate in meetings.
• Purchase air tickets for local and International travel for EDC/ STAY staff.
• Daily update of Travel Sheet of EDC/ STAY staff.
• Update record of Afghan Visa for International staff.
• Keep track and supply of stationery and other daily use material for the office.
• Management of stock.
• Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with 3-5 years relevant experience
• 3 years of experience working on donor funded projects
• Strong oral communication and negotiation skills required;
• Excellent communication in English required;
• Knowledge of USG rules and regulations required;
• Experience working with a USAID funded project is a plus;
• Strong management skills required
