The Logistic Assistant shall provide administrative support to the Logistic and Asset Manager and other Logistic staff members, as required, by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to facilitate a smooth functioning of the Logistics Department. The Logistics Assistant shall be responsible for the following tasks, along with other duties as assigned:
Land Transport, Storage and Handling:
•Developing and maintaining office filing systems and analyzing data.
•Handling mail and electronic communications. Composing and typing correspondence for inventory data communication
•Routing messages and information to appropriate individuals, paying particular attention to channeling communications to other relevant departments.
•Issue of way bills for air cargo.
•Provide Logistics support to operations throughout Afghanistan.
•Assisting the inventory staff members with reconciliation of financial data of assets.
•Reconcile GDR’s and office documents against Inventory.
•Trace asset documentation. Update missing and pending information.
•Make inventory reports, and reconcile data.
•Communicating, analyzing and updating regional office quarterly inventory data.
•Performing other duties as required.
ï‚§A university Degree (Preferred) with 2 years relevant experience in an NGO, UN or any USAID project.
At least 3 years work experience in the administrative, Logistics, warehousing and support field preferably with international donor-funded projects, UN agencies or NGO’s.
ï‚§Fluency in English, Pashto and Dari.
ï‚§Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ï‚§Computer literate with excellent proficiency in data base management, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets.
ï‚§Team oriented, self-directed, tactful and diplomatic, with great enthusiasm for the job.
ï‚§Able to work with minimum supervision.
