The logistic assistant will work in the Norwegian Refugee Council in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan and will support the office through providing assistance in logistic tasks in line with NRC rules and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement and manage activities relating, specifically, to procurement.
ïƒ˜ Manage and track the in/out of the stock items.
ïƒ˜ Implement internal controls and procedures designed to ensure strict compliance with the NRC Logistics (procurement) handbook and the standard operating procedures detailed therein.
ïƒ˜ Manage and inspect the vehicle fleet and generator for both office and Villa.
ïƒ˜ Update the NRC Inventory Assets on monthly bases.
ïƒ˜ Draft and dispatch of quotation requests and/or tender.
ïƒ˜ Support the North offices with providing assistance to purchase the items/equipments when they canâ€™t provide it from their location.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that all NRC assets are inventoried and/or have standard bar code template.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that the fuel for the generators in/out is recorded properly in the generator Log books.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that all he generator and vehicle are serviced on time and properly.
ïƒ˜ Manage and inspect the vehicle log books and insure that the fuel expenditure is recorded.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that electric systems are working properly both in the office and Villa.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that all the electric equipments are working properly both in the office and Villa.
ïƒ˜ Facilitate mission arrangements for the NRC staff.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that all the contracts related to logistic are updated and are in line with the NRC standards contracts.
ïƒ˜ Mange and prepare the driver duty roster.
ïƒ˜ Ensure to submit the logistic monthly report on time to Support Office.
ïƒ˜ Ensure that all the NRC equipments are in good condition.
ïƒ˜ Any other reasonable tasks as instructed by immediate superior.
â€¢ At least 2 to 3 years previous work experience with a satisfactory performance in the same or similar functional area preferably with UN or NGOs;
â€¢ Technical or university level courses in asset management, logistics or administration an asset;
â€¢ Fluency in written and spoken English.
