First year program activities will be carried out in Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Kandahar.

Job Summary:

The Logistics and Procurement Assistant has responsibility for assisting with the procurement of goods and services in accordance with USG regulations, and arranging project logistics. This position reports to the Logistics or Admin Manager. This position is located in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Security Manager and Logistics and Procurement Officer, ensure travel plan policies and procedures are followed;
• Provide logistical support for STAY personnel including arranging ground transportation, booking air travel, hotel accommodations and visa coordination;
• Collect quotations for the procurement of goods and services;
• Collect and verify receipts;
• Under take procurement, tendering, and contracting activities with suppliers;
• Maintain STAY project equipment inventory;
• Assist with managing project vehicles and drivers;
• Create and maintain vehicle logs.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with 3-4 years relevant experience
• 1 years of experience working on donor funded projects;
• Strong oral communication and negotiation skills required;
• Excellent communication in English required;
• Knowledge of USG rules and regulations required;
• Experience working with a USAID funded project is a plus.
