The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator under the direct supervision of the M and E Manager: Assists the STEP project staff with monitoring, evaluation, data management, and reporting. He/she will conduct periodic trips to the field to ensure that activities are running according to the plan and with quality outputs and outcomes, facilitates the exchange of information among implementing partners of STEP project. He/she will also be responsible for reviewing; weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports as well as final reports and provide constructive feedback to STEP program units, management, and implementing partners on their activities to ensure satisfactory delivery of outputs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
ï‚§ Help the program and contracts unit in reviewing subcontractorsâ€™ budget, work-plan and deliverables.
ï‚§ Assist the M and E unit in the development and maintenance of a responsive and comprehensive M and E system for the project.
ï‚§ Provide constructive and on time feedback regarding project activities and reports so that the required changes are made in a timely manner.
ï‚§ Conduct periodic field visits to the provinces where STEP is implemented, observe the activities, compare actual vs. plan, and point out deviations.
ï‚§ Provide and prepare standard reports on field trips to reflect findings and observations from the field. Write success stories where possible.
ï‚§ He/she will assist the program team in defining special analysis and reporting requirements and coordinate timely delivery of such documents.
ï‚§ He/she will also be responsible to develop a standard hard copy filing system within M and E department.
ï‚§ He/she is to provide assistance to NGO partners in data collection and data management.
ï‚§ He/she will be responsible for liaison between the partners, subcontractors and Counterpart International for proper implementation of contracts and reports submission and quality issues.
ï‚§ He/she will deliver trainings on M and E, M and E systems, data collection tools etc. to the program unit and partner organization when required.
ï‚§ Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
â€¢ High school graduation
â€¢ BA in Statistics, Social Science, Anthropology, or any other relevant field is a plus.
â€¢ At least 2 years working experience with International NGOs in fields of M and E and/or data management.
â€¢ Past experience in elections programs and voter education projects is a plus.
â€¢ Proficient in Microsoft Office Software â€˜Word, Excel, and Accessâ€™
â€¢ Proficiency in Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS) like Ms. Access, SQL Server, Oracle is a plus
â€¢ Fluency in two main local languages, Pashto and Dari (writing, speaking and comprehension).
â€¢ Proficiency in English.
