About FLAG International:
FLAG International Afghanistan (FIA) is an AISA registered non-governmental organization based in Kabul. FIA provides entrepreneurs, businesses and community groups with business planning, financial instruction and career training opportunities in order to maximize their economic, social and entrepreneurial potential. FIA is also a facilitating partner under the National Solidarity Program, which provides capacity building, infrastructure improvements and technical expertise to communities throughout Afghanistan. In addition, FIA is engaged in agricultural extension training in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Information and Livestock, engaging with farming communities on new agricultural methods, tools and techniques.
M and E Officer
Duties & Responsibilities:
â€¢ Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of all FIA NSP activities. This includes the monitoring of CDC sub-projects, CDC governance and community mobilization.
â€¢ Collect and compile all relevant data from FIA staff meetings with CDC members, the review of CDC logbooks and physical inspections;
â€¢ Prepare progress reports concerning FIAâ€™s NSP field activities as determined by the FIA Director of NSP;
â€¢ Organize workshops, detailing the best practices and lessons learned in monitoring and evaluation and propose inputs for the capacity development of NSP field staff at the provincial and district level;
â€¢ Ensure the timely and systematic analysis of data gathered from the NSP field offices, to identify trends, assess problems and determine corrective action;
â€¢ Participate in NSP meetings and workshops as determined by the NSP Director of NSP;
â€¢ Prepare monthly work plans, which include lists of on-going sub-projects, highlighting the current status, anticipated completion date and any problems encountered;
â€¢ Assist the FIA Director of NSP in additional departmental office tasks as required;
â€¢ High School Graduate;
â€¢ Fluency in verbal and written Pashto and English;
â€¢ Minimum of two (2) years work experience in the Monitoring and Evaluation field;
â€¢ Strong reporting skills; knowledge of M and E reporting formats and monitoring systems;
â€¢ Preference given to those candidates who have been employed in a monitoring and evaluation capacity for the NSP program;
â€¢ Strong MS Office skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Access;
â€¢ Willingness to travel and work in various provinces.
â€¢ Preference given to those who are familiar with the NSP operations;
â€¢ Excellent communication skills and strong negotiating skills;
â€¢ Motivated, hardworking, creative, innovative and a strong team player.
â€¢ Ability to set deadlines and manage time effectively.
â€¢ Prior experience working in difficult and insecure environments is a plus.
