M and E Officer Agriculture
The FIA Agricultural M and E Officer will have the following primary responsibilities:
Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of all FIA Agriculture project activities currently underway throughout the country;
Responsible for developing both a monitoring and evaluation format which will serve to provide a current view of the effectiveness of FIA’s project activities;
Collect and compile all relevant data from FIA Agricultural Department staff meetings, review of FIA Agricultural project activity records and physical inspections;
Prepare daily, weekly and/or monthly evaluation reports concerning FIA Agricultural project activities as directed by FIA Director of Agriculture;
Organize workshops detailing the best practices and lessons learned in M and E and propose inputs for capacity development of FIA Agricultural Department field staff at the Country Office and field level;
Ensure the timely and systematic analysis of data gathered from the agricultural projects in the field, in order to identify trends, assess problems and determine corrective action;
Participate in donor seminars, workshops and meetings as determined by the FIA Director of Agriculture;
Prepare a monthly work plan, which includes a list of ongoing agricultural projects, highlighting the current status, anticipated completion date and any problems encountered;
Any and all related additional duties as determined by the FIA Director of Agriculture and/or FIA Country Director
• High School Graduate;
• Fluency in verbal and written Pashto and English;
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience in the Monitoring and Evaluation field;
• Strong reporting skills; knowledge of M and E reporting formats and monitoring systems;
• Preference given to those candidates who have been employed in a monitoring and evaluation capacity for the NSP program;
• Strong MS Office skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Access;
• Willingness to travel and work in various provinces.
• Preference given to those who are familiar with the NSP operations;
• Excellent communication skills and strong negotiating skills;
• Motivated, hardworking, creative, innovative and a strong team player.
• Ability to set deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Prior experience working in difficult and insecure environments is a plus.
