Job Summary:
Internews Network is seeking a M&E Officer candidate for the USAID funded RASANA project, a media support initiative in Afghanistan, which has the goal of further strengthening the media sector, particularly through training women journalists and building investigative journalism skills. The M&E Officer will support the M&E Manager in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all programs and projects, s/he will provide technical field support to the M&E unit. The M&E Officer will work closely with Program teams to assess field conditions, support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data under the supervision of the M&E Manager. S/he will collaborate with the Manager in reviewing and preparing monthly, quarterly and final narrative reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Support M&E Manager in creating a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities
Support the M&E Manager in defining and implementing as well as monitoring the key project performance indicators
Support the M&E Manager to ensure that donors, partners, and senior management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
Review and analyze weekly reports with the M&E Manager
Track all M&E projects and ensure timely completion of standard and periodic data reports
Supports data gathering and processing throughout the project by Internews and subgrantees
Maintains contacts with partners to ensure timely and regular flow of information and data
Supports compilation of compliance reports, including but not limited to weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly reports, while ensuring others meet their reporting obligations
Supports the day-to-day management of Internews’ Knowledge Management Systems and processes
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Information Management, Project Management,
3 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience (essential)
Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English
Ability to design M&E tools, surveys, surveillance systems, and evaluations
Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others
Strong interpersonal skills
Good organizational and administrative skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Demonstrated ability and understanding of data and knowledge management
