Major Goal of the Position: To implement Birth Life Saving Skills (BLiSS) within a community development program within a Region, with excellence.
KRA #1 Training
A) The Facilitator will successfully conduct training in the Regional BLiSS groups and encourage
Participants to pass on their knowledge within their communities.
B) The Facilitator will collect baseline survey and follow-up information, from groups for which she/he is responsible, and report to the BLiSS Manager.
C) The Facilitator will ensure good communication with the Community, and with local health care
facilities.
KRA #2 Administration, Logistics
A) The Facilitator will provide regular narrative/anecdotal and statistical data about the status and needs of the BLiSS groups.
B) The Facilitator will engage with and suggest changes for possible future project plans
C) The Facilitator will maintain good communication with the BLiSS Manager and the regional office.
KRA #3 Professional Development
A) The Facilitator must observe BLiSS training and take part in a BLiSS Facilitator Training (ToT) before
commencing work as a BLiSS Facilitator.
B) The Facilitator will participate in training opportunities which have been identified as being helpful to the development of their role. Such training opportunities can be suggested by the Facilitator, but must be approved by the BLiSS Manager and National BLiSS Director.
Profile of BLiSS Facilitator:
Required
Very good interpersonal skills, ability to express his/her thoughts clearly and teach other as well as being teachable Friendly, kind and able to communicate and be with people with limited educational opportunities .
Long-term vision for the work with Operation Mercy
Firm and able to guide groups in a diplomatic way
Good Dari (written and spoken) Op Mercy BLiSS Project / Facilitator / 2016
Able to travel up to 5 days per week to training areas
Able to travel to exposure and training events outside the project location
12th grade school education.
Strong interest in women and children’s health and well being
Respectable appearance
Basic computer skills
