Job Summary:

The Market Analytics team is responsible for executing pricing, market intelligence and research exercises to improve Roshan’s competitive position in the marketplace. The marketing team is looking for a motivated self starter who can lead the market analytics team.
As the head of the Market Analytics team this position will have the following responsibilities and objectives as the Market Analytics Manager:

Duties & Responsibilities:

o Manage Market Analytics team of 3 people
o Carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis of the telecommunications market in Afghanistan.
o Develop pricing models to validate and improve current market offerings.
o Coordinated and interpret the output of external market research programs with third party consultants.
o Coordinate and analyze the competitive landscape.

OBJECTIVES:
Quantitative / Qualitative Analysis (40%):
o Production of quantitative and quantitative analysis
o Construct models of subscriber behaviour
o Analysis of ongoing products and services in Roshan’s portfolio
o Ad-hoc data analysis as required

Pricing (40%):
o Construction of pricing models to value Roshan’s products and services
o Ad-hoc valuation of commercial opportunities as they arise
o Assist in the development of Roshan’s commercial and pricing strategy

Competitive Analysis (20%):
o Produce actionable analysis of the competitive landscape
o Track productions and promotions launched by other perators in Afghanistan
o Track key KPI’s for other operators in Afghanistan

Job Requirement:

o University Degree
o Quantitative aptitude
o Interest in analysis and research
o Telecom experience preferred
o Self start and team player
o Ability to work with little explicit direction
o Self starter
o Excellent written and spoken English and Dari
o Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
o Some experience with SQL or data mining preferred
o Some programming experience proffered
o Excellent communication and organizational skills
