Job Summary:

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job :

·    The mission is to manage execution of the organizational development strategy, ensure it is well integrated with other HR disciplines. Help develop continuous OD process and culture improvement programs to ensure continuous organization development.

·    Manage the Performance Management System of MTNA; Coordinate the Investor in People (IiP) standard and; Oversee HR services to ensure continuous improvement of business process, business performance and organizational culture for organization effectiveness and sustainability.

·    Manager and oversee MTNA Recruitment process, Org Design and Job design to ensure align with business objectives 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Tasks:  

·    Manage the performance management process, ensure it is integrated and well understood by all MTN employees. 

·    Manage and ensure the alignment of individual and team performance goals with the strategic goals of the business / division and ensure the transparency of the process.

·    Act as an internal consultant for MTNA in learning management and developing organizational culture in order to meet the objectives and targets set by the business 

·    Act as the custodian for organizations development budget ; responsible for providing input for budget, planning the allocation; and for implementing and managing the same

·    Manage competency gap analysis and development process within the business, in-line with MTN Group standards and framework.

·    Act as a custodian (internal advocate) of IiP (Investor in People) to improve organization performance through a planned approach to setting & communicating goals and developing people to achieve those goals.

·    Oversee the development of effective recognition programs that will reward employees, teams and organizational units’ performance that exceeds expectations.

·    Provide advisory support to business partners regarding organizational effectiveness

·    Facilitate the development and maintenance of the policy governance framework for OD related policies and procedures and ensure alignment with business strategic objectives and uniformity of policy application.

·    Develop and implement systems and tools to ensure key performance metrics alignment with the strategic goals of business.   

·    Facilitate change management process for all organizational change with regards to IPF

·    Develop and present oral and written reports, presentations, and informal feedback to line management and supervisors on IPF related issues.

·    Spearhead the communication of IPF activities/initiatives, providing enlightenment to various stakeholders within MTNA

·    Analyze/Identify key areas relevant to any developmental activity e.g., development of communication material, putting together collateral, organizing ideas with respect to the development activity, as directed by local business requirements or MTNA group standards

·    Deliver sessions on ‘Achieving Performance Excellence’ and on ‘Essentials of Leadership’ to all Line Managers

·    The mission is to attract and recruit the best talent available to MTN Afghanistan and to find the right person for the right job at the right time by ensuring that the MTN talent pool reflects the prescribed demography of society

·    Build strategic alliances with Head-hunters, recruitment agencies, professional bodies and education institutions and liaise with them so as to ensure timely recruitment of vacancies

·    Facilitate development effective man power planning strategy for MTN Afghanistan

·    Design, develop and execute a recruitment plan that details how the team will deliver on organizational requirements

·    Ensure and Align MTNA functional structure with OpCo new blueprints


Job Requirement:

Minimum Requirements   


                Business degree / diploma (preferably in HR) from a reputable university



                4-5 years of relevant work experience  



                Thorough knowledge of the theories, concepts and practices of organizational development

                Understanding of change management and organization culture

                Certification GPA HR, CIPD, SHRM




                Thorough knowledge of Performance and Talent management

                Good knowledge of diverse HR practice areas, tools and trends

                Thorough knowledge of the theories, concepts and practices of organizational development

                Understanding of change management and organization culture

                Understanding of HR operations
