TITLE: Managing Director

LOCATION: Kabul, Afghanistan

LIAISES WITH: Government, Clients, Suppliers

OBJECTIVES: To ensure the company operates profitably and in an ethical manner in order to fulfill the objectives of its shareholders, customers and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement operational strategies as per the company’s Strategic Business Plans.
• Monitor and control the company’s performance and finances in accordance with the budgets approved by the Board of Directors.
• To ensure that all staff and workers are effectively employed and adequately trained to perform their responsibilities and operational tasks in an ethical and responsible manner.
• To ensure that the products produced are of high quality in accordance with the company’s quality policies.
• To ensure that the company meets all its legal requirements, including those relating to Occupational Health and Safety.
• Overall responsibility for raw material selection and timely purchasing and utilization.
• Acquisition, maintenance and efficient utilization of the company’s physical assets.
• Facilitate and enhance workflow and production procedures among various bodies of factory.
• Monitor and control routine training requirements of staff and workers.
• Full responsibility of profit and loss for factory
• Provide leadership for all direct functions dedicated to the business unit, including Admin Management, Product Management, and Logistics
• Develop, formulate and execute short and long term business plans.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, yield improvement, quality improvement, supply chain development, asset management control and ensures high customer service level.
• Builds and maintains a team of excellence through careful selection of key personnel including promotions of existing employees.
• Perform periodic operation reviews at manufacturing locations and other direct functions.
• Ensure all actions and activities, internal and external to the business unit, are performed ethically, lawfully and with a high degree of integrity

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and SKILLS
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business administration
• Fluent in English and Dari
• Highly developed personal qualities and be able to communicate clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of information and data quickly, and the ability to evaluate the relationships among numerous factors
• Leadership, self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and determination.

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of three years

Submission Guideline

TASKS:
• Plan and monitor progress of production and projects scheduled
• Authorize all legal documents.
• Liase with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare and sign quotations.
• Monitor and control the company’s Quality Management System.
• Establish cost reduction policies, estimate job costs and set contract prices
• Prepare job dockets and ensure that necessary information is provided to fulfill client requirements.
• Monitor and control stock levels.
• Plan and schedule work so that clients’ expected delivery times are met.
• Represent the company at industry associations and outside committees.
• Prepare reports to the Board of Directors.
• Any other duties as allocated by the Board of Directors.
