Master Teacher Trainer in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics (for in-service teachers)
The main duties and tasks of the Master Trainer include:
ï‚§ Contribute to developing the training work plan;
ï‚§ Conduct training workshops according to the approved work plan;
ï‚§ Prepare lesson plans and other training materials;
ï‚§ Conduct classroom observation of teachers;
ï‚§ Identify and respond to technical challenges in her/his area of expertise, in close coordination with training colleagues;
ï‚§ Collect relevant data required by the Management Team from the training sites;
ï‚§ Maintain records and other relevant information from the training workshops;
ï‚§ Conduct final assessments of teachers at the end of each training workshop;
 Build positive relationships with the target districts’ educational administrations;
ï‚§ Prepare activity reports for submission to the Country Director;
ï‚§ Participate in the planning and execution of other teacher training activities such as the annual Best Practices conference, Starter Kits orientations, and others.
Applicants with the following qualifications are invited to apply:
ï‚§ Graduated from an accredited education institute or university;
ï‚§ Specializing in the teaching of biology, chemistry and/or physics (or any combination thereof), with strong content knowledge in these subjects;
ï‚§ Minimum 5 years experience in the relevant field of work;
ï‚§ Proven ability to conduct trainings and workshops;
ï‚§ Familiarity with active learning methodologies;
ï‚§ Fluent in Dari, Pashto. Knowledge in English will be an advantage;
ï‚§ Commitment to high quality teacher education and education as a human right;
ï‚§ Computer skills are desirable, but not necessary.
