STATE CORPS (SC) is an Engineering and construction firm registered with U.S Government , AISA (Afghanistan Investment Support Agency) & ACCI (Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Industries) .The company has experience of implementing huge construction and power projects in Afghanistan and Middle East. SC is actively working in Afghanistan since last one decade and has proven performance record of executing large projects.
The incumbent will be responsible for overall mechanical designing activities of projects, and works under design manager’s instructions. Further duties and responsibilities are mentioned as bellow:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Study site assessment documents.
Study survey reports of project site.
Study thoroughly the site topography maps and pay attention to all site conditions on how to fit all mechanical elements on the site plan.
Notify senior mechanical and all designers for any update modification made in designs on-time.
Coordinate and notify design manager and designers of all other disciplines of any change brought in mechanical drawings.
Perform analysis and design using defined codes including but not limited to ASHREA, IPC, NFPA, IMC, AED Mechanical & Plumbing Design Requirements, and UFC.
Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Prepare the most economic engineering plans, design, narrative and layouts while meeting the contract requirements of client.
Provide full technical support to contracting and construction departments”
Perform design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
Develop layout and details of projects using schematic layout by project concept or with assistance of line manager.
Prepare drawing drafts using AutoCAD and other programs as required by client.
Research design options and document findings for design manager;
Review and/or develop shop drawings, catalogues, and material samples to incorporate them in design.
Prepare and edit specifications as per project requirement.
Serve as design QC engineer to inspect design package and ensure that it meets contract and State Corps requirements, and is coordinated with other design departments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University.
At lease 4 years’ experience of working as Mechanical Design Engineer
Well versed with design codes : ASHREA, IPC, NFPA, IMC and UFC
Expert in AutoCAD with strong Mechanical background
Excellent knowledge of Ms. Office packages.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent English & National languages Skills.
