The Afghanistan Infrastructure Rehabilitation Program [AIRP], Kabul, seeks a dynamic, highly productive, and organized media and communications outreach coordinator to implement media programs that serve to strengthen ties between the American and Afghan people.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The individual must be resourceful with excellent follow-up skills; he/she can manage time and operations to ensure consistently high quality communications products.
2. The coordinator is responsible to ensure the delivery of a popular, episodic television program on time and within budget.
3. He/she will also support activities that provide wider communication of the program’s success, research and analysis of impact, and related media outreach.
Essential Qualification:
Should have at least 3 year’s experience working in Afghanistan, and is willing and able to travel within Afghanistan as security permits.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience in working with large NGO would be an advantage and would be working closely with senior management.
• The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field
Education:
• Should be fluent in written and spoken English and Dari.
• Should have at least 3 year’s experience working in Afghanistan, and is willing and able to travel within Afghanistan as security permits.
• Preferred qualifications include fluency in Pashtu and experience with surveys and questionnaires.
Languages and Skills:
• Proficiency in written and spoken English language. Advance computer skills in Microsoft office required. Should be tactful in dealing with employees and be able to work under pressure.
Abilities and Skills:
• Ability to work in a team, ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines and good interpersonal skills are required.
