Job Summary:

The Media and Communication Project Officer will be responsible for overall project management, events management, training and capacity development, coordination and communication with Clients, M&E of the Project and any other responsibilities assigned by the CEO.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Development of the project plan and strategy

Strategically plan, implement and deliver project deliverables.

Represent the project to applicants, maintain regular contact and good relations and regularly update them on the progress of the project implementation.

Provide first-response technical support to all issues reported via phone and on-site visits.

Organize internal and external project related events, prepare and distribute press releases;

Drafting professional communications materials, including press releases, information kits, workshop materials, talking points, speeches, brochures, scripts, and other related materials with the aim of achieving the set objectives of Project;

Translating awareness campaign, information kits, brochures, scripts, and other related materials;

Identifying and maintaining lists of relevant media contacts, editors, community leaders, civil society, other opinion leaders, industry contacts and government contacts.

Manage the dissemination of information, organizing workshops, identifying participants and associated logistical needs

Review and update the communication strategy of the Client.

Manage the records and filing system of the Communications Unit;

Coordinate in developing and preparing TV and Radio spots for awareness programs

Organize public awareness workshops and seminars and manage events.

Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of project management.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor in Journalism or relevant field.

At least 4 years professional experience in the media and communication field.

Work experience with Government Civil Servants.

Detailed and result-oriented, honest and responsible

Excellent communication skills

Computer skills and experience in Corel Draw, Photoshop

Fluency in Dari and Pashto and English.
