Under the direct supervision of the Counterpart STEP Media Manager The successful applicant will be responsible for the following tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Contribute to the development of the Media Strategy by carrying out the research, compiling and analyzing the relevant data.
2.Participate in design, development, pre-testing and evaluation of culturally relevant media material and activities
3.Follow up on the production of materials and oversee the qualitative aspect of production such as ; quality control of translation in to Dari/Pashtu
4.Monitor all media and public outreach activities for the Civic Education Program (CEP) and report to the Media Manager
5.Ensure that all materials are delivered to the target recipients in a timely manner.
6.Drafting of the quarterly fact sheet , getting the strips ( achievements bullet points of each program ) and to compile all the information and draft the fact sheet for reviewing of Media Manager
7.Other tasks as may be assigned by the National STEP Media Manager.
8.Excellent Report Writing ability.
1.Degree in Journalism or other related field preferred;
2.3 years experience in media and public outreach activities;
3.Good knowledge of the Afghan media landscape (working experience with Afghan media will be valued);
4.Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
5.Fluency in English
6.And good translation skill.
