Vision statement An independent, effective and efficient public institution that provides transparent land services, contributing to stability and growth ARAZI is Afghanistan’s prime and sole, independent land administration and management body, managing state owned lands, and providing land related services and information to citizens, institutions and investors. It will be a modern institution dedicated to maximizing economic, social and cultural benefits from land for the Afghan people. It will provide services in recognition of Afghanistan’s cultural and socio-economic context. Mission Statement ARAZI defines its mission as: 1. Ensuring that Afghanistan’ land resources are used in support of the country’s economic, social and environmental policies and development goals. 2. Providing efficient and effective land administration and land management services that facilitate access to land for economic and social development. 3. Being a proactive and responsive institution which will significantly ease the process of land administration and land management, for the direct and indirect benefit of key stakeholders as elaborated below: . Increased and easier access to land, involving also tenure security for communities, individuals, and investors . Better allocation of land to promote development in an economically efficient, socio- culturally acceptable and environmentally friendly way . Provide land related information to government, communities, individuals, and investors . Responsible for overseeing communications to the media, including preparing articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives. Cultivates and manages relationships with media reps.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare articles and press releases for the media.
Ensure the company protects and promotes its image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner.
Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships within the press and publicity community.
Manage the flow of news about the organization to the media.
Gather and disseminate timely information to press and staff.
Optimize communication system to enhance accuracy of communication.
Create effective communication channels.
Enhance effectiveness of press and publicity function.
Act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the company and address questions and complaints.
Develop relationships with national and regional press contacts to ensure the company reputation is promoted and to deflect criticism.
Plan and oversee press events.
Detect public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly.
Research and write briefing materials.
Assemble press kits.
Compose and edit press releases, company literature, and articles for internal and external use.
Answering enquiries from the press or other media representatives
Writing press releases and news reports about the work of an organisation

A press or media relations officer is a highly demanding job and requires employees to be quick thinking, intelligent and articulate. Most employers require a good first degree and sometimes a post-graduate degree in a relevant subject such as English, journalism, media relations, or business related degree. A qualification in a second language can also be a big advantage, particularly if applying to work for companies with international media relations. Many employers offer on-the-job training in the form of graduate schemes with the opportunity of working towards a professional media or public relations qualification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations,Business Administration, or in any other relevant field;
Having working knowledge of communication and knowledge dissemination is required;
At least 3 years of proven communications, planning and implementation experience, including employee communications and event management at governmental agencies and international donor funded projects;
Relevant working experience in WB project(s) is plus;
Demonstrates flexibility and ability to manage complexities
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
An excellent working knowledge of IT and all applications relating to communications
Strong organisational skills
An efficient working manner
