Job Summary:


Duties & Responsibilities:

Midwife is responsible to provide adequate Midwifery service for the women attending the health facility. She must provide awareness about family planning to the mothers while consoling.

Major Tasks:
1. Act according to the policy of MRCA.

2. Keep Confidential with issue related to MRCA.

3. Develop Spirit of co-operation and understanding among members of the team.

4. Implement a program for essential obstetric care in the area of coverage.

5. Follow up with home visit to registered patients with pregnancy at risk.

6. Provide family planning services to the women.

7. Precise routine for proper sterilization of equipments and materials.

8. Be aware of the overall plan for primary Health Care (PHC) and assess the activities accordingly.

9. Keeps update regarding the developments in the field of midwifery.

10. Examine and diagnose patients received in the health facility whenever convenient.

11. Issue prescription, referrals and advice in conforming to examination and diagnose.

12. Fill the registry book, in continues manner (and while patients is present), recording all patients data, diagnosis, prescription, referral, advice and other facts corresponding to examination.

13. Ensure correct filling of statistical data on diseases and treatment.

14. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipments and material in the health facility.

15. Give proper feed back to the health community based program (FCHWs and TBAs) Working in the area of health facility.

16. Compile and Check monthly HMIS and TBA report and provide monthly MCH activities report.

17. Encourage the community based health workers and assist the community in the establishments of (female) community health committee.

18. Accomplish other tasks requested by the supervisor.

Job Requirement:

1. Graduate from midwifery school or IHS (MW section)

2. Work experience with other health organization.
