·        Good spoken English with writing skills as well as Pashto and Dari, and knowledge of using basic computer programs (Ms. Word and Ms. Excel and accounting data bases);

The main duties and responsibilities of English Instructor is, to undertake /assist in daily function of Project Management Unit (PMU) as follows;


  • Preparation of semester teaching plan for his/her subject
  • Preparation of complete teaching hand-out (out-line) for his/her subject
  • Preparation of daily teaching plan
  • Preparation of in time teaching material according to the teaching plan
  • Attending every class with the current teaching plan
  • Effective teaching according to the established curriculum
  • Being punctual and making sure of student's academic progress
  • Translating project documents from English to Dari and Pashto and vis versa
  • Start the class on time and also leave the class on time
  • Take the attendance every day
  • Provide a good learning atmosphere for students
  • Helping students in solving their problems
  • Devise extra-curricular activities for the students to improve their weaknesses
  • Taking care of attendance, class progress, exams etc.
  • Work in a team with all the staff
  • Undertake any other related task assigned by the Head of department, and other top management
  • Ensure excellent quality of training and practices
  • Ensure the regular and timely teaching progress reports are prepared and submitted to the Head of Department
  •  Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings
  • Maintaining good working relations with other colleagues and authorities
  • Maintaining proper and effective class management
  • Assist the Head of the Department in developing and implementing action plans
  • Held English learning Glasses in Mes Aynak Archaeological side (Logar Province) as per instruction of Head of Department.

 

Reporting obligation:

·     The English Instructor report to AIA and Project Director as his/her direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

Qualification and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in his/her related field of teaching from a recognized university At least 3 years work experience in Teaching with government ,projects or international donors projects;

·        Demonstrated abilities to take initiative, build consensus and make things happen;

·        Ability to build strong relationships with clients and external stockholders.

·        Good interpersonal skills and communication skills;

·        Good spoken English with writing skills as well as Pashto and Dari, and knowledge of using basic computer programs (Ms. Word and Ms. Excel and accounting data bases);
