Years of Experience:     Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Sociology, Political Science, BBA, Economics, Public Administration, or any other related field with 2 years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation and research

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension.

Education:  University Degree, Bachelor’s degree is preferable

Duties & Responsibilities

The incumbent will undertake the following responsibilities under the direct supervision of Regional M&E Specialist:

• Visit the monitoring project sites on a regular basis;

• Use ODK Collect form to record qualitative and quantitative monitoring data;

• Apply various M&E tools, including but not limited to: beneficiary survey, in-depth interviews, direct observation, Focus Group Discussion, etc. to collect qualitative and quantitative data;

• Conduct regular data collection and ensure data quality and timeliness;

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on the data collected through site visits; 

• Ensure that implementation of field activities adheres to the project monitoring and evaluation system; 

• Assist Regional M&E Specialist in designing, coordinating and conducting project monitoring and evaluation; 

• Contribute to any other activities required for the successful completion of the monitoring project.

• Execute any other duties assigned by the supervisor or project management.


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Sociology, Political Science, BBA, Economics, Public Administration, or any other related field;

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation activities for donor-funded projects;

• Ability to visit projects outside the city boundaries, including districts;

• Ability to use ODK Collect to record and transfer monitoring data;

• Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other data management systems;

• Excellent verbal & oral communication and reporting skills;

• Good verbal and written English, and Dari/Pashtu;

• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and priorities work to deadlines;

• Comfortable in planning and delivering multiple activities in fast-movement workplace;

• Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently, with minimal supervision and well under pressure;

• Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.
