About Afghanistan SUPPORT-II Project:
SUPPORT directly assists USAID/Afghanistan Program and Projects Development Office (PPDO) with information management services and provides the PPDO and USAID/Afghanistan with a number of key services, including information management and reporting products and performance monitoring plans and related activities. SUPPORT is seeking well qualified Afghan candidates for a newly established field monitoring unit which will provide periodic reviews of specific activities on behalf of USAID/Afghanistan.
Job Summary:
The M&E Specialist’s role is to provide support to evaluation and monitoring teams. In this capacity, the M&E Specialist will proactively work with consultants to ensure integrity of report formatting; ensure SUPPORT II knowledge resources are available and accessible to consultants and project staff; and coordinate data collection with staff and external monitors and evaluators. The M&E Specialist will also be expected to conduct high quality analyses of survey data for third-party monitoring.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct in-briefing with consultants on SUPPORT II knowledge resources.
Provide guidance/training to local and international consultants on standard formatting for report templates, footnotes, bibliography, meeting schedules.
Assist international consultants to produce reports, tables, graphics and presentations using Word, Excel and PowerPoint using established formats.
Finalize reports SUPPORT II procedures and ensure that reports are stored and managed properly.
Liaise and coordinate with field monitoring teams conducting data collection. Review data quality; assist in troubleshooting data collection issues.
Assist M&E Team in design, planning and implementation of third-party monitoring and evaluation assignments.
Assist evaluation teams in design of data collection tools and advise evaluation teams on data collection approaches.
Gather information from project staff to update LOE tracker weekly.
Synthesize and analyze survey data for third-party monitoring
Job Requirement:
University degree
Minimum five years professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, project design and implementation
Very strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)
High level proficiency in MS Office applications
Exceptional written communication skills in English
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to travel throughout Afghanistan
Native Pashto speaker
University degree
