Job Summary:

International Resources Group seeks an Afghanistan citizen to serve as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to provide reliable analysis on the implementation of the Afghanistan Clean Energy Project (ACEP). ACEP is a USAID-funded initiative to foster Afghanistan’s energy independence, economic development, and improved security through increased reliable access to renewable energy resources and improved energy use.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze data and information about ACEP activities
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly monitoring reports of ongoing projects and key ACEP activities
• Assist the Implementation Manager in establishing the monitoring and evaluation framework and system to ensure effective implementation of the program in a timely manner
• Monitor and record outcomes of all program training activities
• Monitor and report on all project deliverables
• Design and manage an electronic project library with all project deliverables and reports

Job Requirement:

• Afghanistan citizenship
• BA/BSc from an accredited university
• Minimum of 5 years experience in equivalent similar position
• Work experience with USAID or other NGOs
• Fluent in English, Dari and Pashto
• Excellent information technology skills, fully computer literate with working knowledge of database systems
• Strong professional skills: Excellent analytical and organizational skills, ability to work on multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimum supervision and under pressure
• Enthusiastic, flexible and professional attitude, willingness to work extended hours if needed, strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills, and integrity
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
