About NATO Afghanistan - Resolute Support :
Resolute Support is a NATO-led, non-combat mission. It was launched on January 1, 2015, following the conclusion of the previous NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission, and the assumption of full security responsibility by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). Its purpose is to help the Afghan security forces and institutions develop the capacity to defend Afghanistan and protect its citizens in a sustainable manner. The mission performs supporting functions in several areas. These include: operational planning; budgetary development; force generation process; management and development of personnel; logistical sustainment; and civilian oversight (in order to ensure the Afghan security forces and institutions act in accordance with the rule of law and good governance).
The incumbent will provide Customer Service at the RS MWA Customer Service Desk.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Staffs the MWA Customer Service Desk at the Milano Palace.
Maintains a High-level of customer service and provides quality assistance to customers.
Starts movies in the Milano Cinema and assists cinema customers.
Assists Milano Palace patrons with basic internet and computer usage.
Signs out movies, games and game equipment; such as billiard cues, etc., for customer use. Ensures all equipment is returned in good condition. Registers DVD users in a Microsoft Excel database and processes rentals and returns to ensure proper tracking.
Monitors use and cleanliness of all areas of the Milano Palace facility to include the Destile Garden.
Assists in ensuring the cleanliness of the customer service area and the Milano Palace Lobby.
Will request facility cleaners from billeting to assist with basic clean-up at the Milano Palace and Destile garden, as needed.
Takes reservation requests for facilities and barbecue areas and ensures reservation forms are properly filled out and endorsed.
Assists with the set-up and breakdown of events and tournaments held at the Milano Palace.
Performs other duties as required.
The incumbent may be required to perform duties as directed.
The work is normally performed in a typical Office environment. Normal Working Conditions apply. The risk of injury is categorised as: No Risk
This position involves shift work – Shifts could vary between 0700 and 2300 hours.
The incumbent must be able to work seven hours per day; six days per week. Typical Shift work for this position could encompass; 0730-1430, 1200- 1900 or 1600-2300.
Basic Computer skills.
Basic use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is essential.
2 years' customer service experience.
High School Graduate.
Language: English: Good level of written and spoken language skills. Note: The work both oral and written in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole is conducted mainly in English.
Standard Automated Data Processing (ADP) Knowledge
Word Processing: Basic Knowledge.
Spreadsheet: Working Knowledge.
Database: Basic Knowledge.
Ability to work in a customer service area, in an unsupervised capacity, with multi-national personnel.
Technical knowledge or experience with computers and sound equipment.
